About HastingsOne

HastingsOne is a small tool for one person making one choice between a few options. It uses a weighted decision matrix, a method that has been taught for decades under several names (weighted scoring, a Pugh-style matrix, multi-criteria analysis), and adds two things people rarely do on paper: must-haves that rule options out, and a check of how much your weights decide the result.

It does not know anything about your options. Every number comes from you, and the result is only as good as those numbers. It is a way to see your own thinking laid out, not an oracle.

No accounts, no email, no tracking cookies. Your journal opens with a private link only you hold. The public pages carry one banner ad from AdEngine, the small ad network run by WeldonPC, placed below the page's content; it sets no cookies and never sees your decisions (see Privacy). A worked decision and the journal carry none.
